Cats, Moggies, our Feline Friends

Not too far from where i live in Battersea there is a shop on Latchmere road.  In the shop window, I have noticed that a cat would often be sleeping in the window.   I have finally got a photo of said moggy.  But see where it sleeping!  It could not find an open space in the window and chose to sleep on top of the screwdrivers.  Fortunately, the blades are pointing down.  How comfortable is that cat?  I cannot say but she was sound asleep when I took the photo.

I should check again and see if she is still sleeping in the same place.

And over the last few years I have take an few pictures of cats.

From this past April when I was in Japan.  I went to meet a friend in Kamakura; we were getting some traditional culture in and visiting temples.  We met up in a Tea House and I noticed this cat sleeping in a basket in the restaurant window.  But this looks like a designated cat sleeping area unlike where the cat slept n Battersea.

And here is a cat from Argentina.  I was with my friends Steve and Mariana and we went to a graveyard in Recoleta.  And there is clutter of cats that live there.  This little chap I simply call scruffy cat.  He probably has never slept in a nice basket like the cat in Japan.  Scruffy he may be but he is a cute little thing.  This photo was taken in 2005 when I was visiting there.

Exploding Eggplant

You may be wondering what you are looking at.  Well, I was roasting an eggplant in the oven and I was watching TV as it was going to take some time to roast.  I came back later and the eggplant did not look very cooked.  I prodded it with my finger and literally seconds later it exploded.  There was eggplant on the walls and on the floor and I was even hit in the arm by a flying piece of hot eggplant; boy, did that sting.  I have learned my lesson.  It is kind of funny but it could have been worse.  Someone  could have been hurt like me.  This happened over a Month ago in May.
