Buenos Aires - week 2

A short post for the moment.

Thanks for the emails and comments.  I really do appreciate knowing what people think of my "rambles".

A few things:  I did go back to the big super market nearby and they did have chicken and carrots this time.  On the note of food shopping, I am told this week to boycott buying potatoes and pumpkins as they are overpriced! A barrio is the Spanish word for 'district'. So when I was saying I am renting an apartment in the "Barrio Caballito", I am staying in the Caballito district.

Davide was curious about pizzas here.  Well, pizzas are very predominant in the city and there was pizzas I have not had before like a "Fugazetta".  A Fugazetta is made with cheese and onions, infused olive oil and garlic.  No tomato sauce in sight in this pizza; the pizza is white.

Last Sunday, I had a very enjoyable stroll in San Telmo to see the weekend market.  I was kind of thinking in my mind that it would be just antiques.  Yes, there were antiques but also many artsits were selling there wares and handicrafts.  And there are some funky boutiques there as well.   I was with Holly, Beto & Caroline.  And we ended the day with some beers in Bar Britanico.

I have been putting photos online on Flickr.
